Cardinals win District opener, shutout Howe 28-0

The Cardinals defense threw down a shutout and the Cardinals used 2 long drives in the first half to defeat Howe 28-0 Friday.  Pottsboro drove 90 yards and 72 yards in the first half and led 14-0 at intermission, in the 3rd they put it away as Kory Waller took short screen passes for long touchdowns of 50 & 85 yards.  Pottsboro now 4-1 & 1-0 in district 2A-6 hosts Farmersville Friday.  The Cardinals out gained Howe 369-118 as qb Zane Pritchett threw for 167 and rushed for 40.   Wide receiver Kory Waller had a big day with 4 catches for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns.
