I know for a fact that in 2002 Rocky Phillips had 20.5 sacks. I was his defensive line coach that year. Our defenses in 2000, 2001, and 2002 ranked at the very top of 3A. In 2001 we ranked around 25th in total defense out of all classifications 1A-5A. It is during this time that the Pottsboro defense became know as the “Dirty Birds”.

some of the stats were hit and miss on defense, do you have any records? Thanks for the info, would really like to see any records from that era. Any additional info is greatly appreciated.
