Updated: September 30, 2017

The Aubrey Chaparrals did what they do best, run the Wing T offense to perfection, grind out yardage and control the clock.  Friday night Aubrey accomplished something they hadn’t done since 2009 by beating Pottsboro 21-14.  It was a close game that was tied 7-7 at half and 14-14 entering the 4th quarter.  The Chaparrals drove 59 yards in 8 plays and got an 8 yard TD run from Will Dow to take the lead.  Pottsboro had one last chance when on 4th when Drew Edwards appeared to score the a touchdown.  The officials ruled Edwards trapped the ball and Aubrey ran out the clock.  Ross Hendrix was named the Texoma Chevy Dealers Star of the Game with 7 catches for 180 yards and a touchdown.  Haiden Williams was named homecoming Queen for 2017-18.  Pottsboro finishes non-district play at 3-2 and will host the Howe Bulldogs to open up district 3A-5 play on October 6th.
